The tomb, which was discovered in 1892, stands out for its distinctive design featuring a spacious central chamber and two smaller chambers at the bottom. The main room features a complex decoration: on the back wall there is a figurative frieze, above the doors, depicting two erotic groups, one of which is attacked by a bull with a human head, while next to the other group there is a crouching bull. In the lower part of the wall, there is a scene depicting an episode from the Trojan War: Achilles’ ambush of Troilus, the youngest of Priam’s sons. This scene is the oldest mythological representation found in the tombs of Tarquinia.
