Moretti Tomb
500-490 BC.
The tomb was discovered in 1968 and consists of a single chamber with a double-sloped ceiling. It is dedicated to Mario Moretti, who was for a long time Superintendent of Southern Etruria. Dancers are depicted on the side walls, while the back wall is decorated with a richly dressed woman adorned with jewellery – probably the deceased – towards whom a man is walking in the act of offering her a cup.
